I installed in a fresh test domain the following version on Windows Server 2022. CloudPanel_3.2.1016. I used a seperate SQL server version 2019. The cloudpanel was installed under a specific account which is local admin on the cloudpanel server. Everything is well and working for cloudpanel. But the cloudpanel service is not working. It keeps giving the warning for insufficient rights for the scheduler.exe . It has logon as a service rights. It has rights on the sql, because the same account is connected to the cloudpanel database. Maybe i have overseen something. Do i need to create a seperate database for cloudpanel and 1 for cloudpanel service? Or do they both use the same database.? Now i have created 2 seperate ones. For now i am stuck. Maybe you can help or someone who came accross the same issue.

Hello,

It uses the same database. When it gets stuck in this spot during the install, can you open services.msc and open the properties of CloudPanel Service? Then re-enter the username & password, save, and try to manually start the service. If it starts, go back to the installer and click Retry.

You shouldn’t have to do that, but I’m wondering if the installer didn’t set the correct password during the install which is why it can’t start it. If that doesn’t resolve it, cancel the install and make sure to delete the entire CloudPanel service directory before installing again.

I de-installed cloudpanel, removed the databases. I cleaned the c:\program files (x86)\Knowmoreit folder and re-installed cloudpanel. I configured it and installed the cloudpanel service and connected it to the same database as the database for cloudpanel. Again it could not be started at exactly the same point with the same error. I went to services. I did a lookup in AD for the account which than changed from domain\account to account@domain.local. Typed it the password and started it from services. It started and afterwards i clicked retry on the installer. It seems to work and i don’t have the warning anymore that the service cannot be found.
