Hi, we would like the request the ability to customise the SAMID of the user. In some circumstances it is still not possible to login using the UPN of the user so in these scenarios we need the users to login using domainsamid
Problem arises when we have tenants with users with the same name, so we would like to have our users logging in using their companyname (which we standardise to a 4 digit code unique to each company) followed by their name or fn.surname etc

Sorry for the delay but this is in the next release in a week or two. I included a box on resellers and companies to manually enter what you want the company code to be.
Leaving it blank (which has placeholder saying ‘Generate Automatically’) then it will do the normal automatic generation. Putting something in there specifies what you want it to be.
Before creating it does verify in real-time to make sure the company code doesn’t already exist.

Thanks for this – just to confirm, we will specify the customer name to be our 4 digit code and then there is a setting somewhere that will generate the SAM ID to be (4digitcode)(fn)(ln) instead of just (fn)(ln)?
There is the field to specify the company name but then there is another field called Company Code. When this field is blank (it says Generate Automatically when blank as a placeholder) it will automatically generate a 3 or more digit company code.
However you can type in anything you want to make up your own company code and it will validate that it is unique for you.
So two options.. auto or make up your own.
Does that work or were you just wanting CloudPanel to still generate it automatically but just use 4 characters instead of 3?
