Good day,

We have noticed constant network traffic with Domain Controller (read from server) by CloudPanel ApplicationPool on CP Server >25MBps.

According to log file, CP constantly updating user information from AD. Is this normal behavior for the service?

The only was I could see this happening is if you have ADSync installed and configured to send/receive data often. The values for ADSync can be adjusted in the registry where you have it installed and it sends/receives a list of users to compare the two environments.

Correct me if I am wrong but I believe you are the one that opened the case about ADSync using too much memory? We have discovered there is a memory leak with ADSync and still investigating. That could also be the reason the memory is going up so high too if all your sync intervals are set to 1 minute

@jdixon

Thank you for your reply, just went to check if the settings are as you pointed out, but unfortunately this is not the case. All sync settings are set to default 15 minutes interval on all participating ADSync servers, except for one, where it is set to 5.

@ad-it-dept what about the CloudPanel service settings? It will constantly read data from AD and update the CP database as well as read data from Exchange like message tracking logs. The CloudPanel service settings are located in the CloudPanel setup page (/admin/setup).

Can you also send you log files for CloudPanel to support@knowmoreit.com and we will look at them today

@jdixon all settings of CP are set to default and were not changed ever since it was installed.

Logs are out by email.

@ad-it-dept Your domain wasn’t in our system. All our previous correspondences were prefixed with “it.” before the domain name so it didn’t correctly identify you. I sent you an email to get more logs but the log you sent is mainly from ADSync.
