Hi jason,
.
Today i did an update from 3.1.0.850 to 3.1.0.1001.
The installer ran without problems.

I tried to go to the settings page on http://domain/admin/settings to do the SQL update and i get the following message

Unauthorized
The section you attempted to access is unauthorized.
If you feel this is not correct and you should have access, then please contact support.

I?m also unable to logon to cloudpanel logon screen. |It says Error: login failed.

The Settings.xml available in the folder C:Program Files (x86)Know More ITCloudPanelConfig

How do i know if there is a problem with the virtual directories in IIS ?
And how can i create these virtual directories ?

Greetings Barry

It needs to detect you coming from localhost on the server cloudpanel is installed on. If you are using host headers sometimes this will cause issues.

Send a screenshot of your IIS websites / virtual directories… I’m wondering if you had them under its own website and it created a website with a virtual directory both pointing to the same file path.

Thanks. Working perfect now.

The problem was the hostheader. I could not connect from localhost as this redirected to the exchange site due to the hostheaders.

After adding a new * binding with port 81 i could access cloudpanel from localhost on http://localhost:81/admin/settings and run the DB update

Greetings Barry
