Hi everyone,

I have run in to an issue and I was hoping to get some help.

Some users have accidentally been created directly in AD instead of through CloudPanel. Is there a way to import these users into Cloudpanel?

Many thanks,
Tom

You can import them into CloudPanel but it isn’t documented… I created it for us when we migrate users to CloudPanel. Just go to the page: /CloudPanel/company/{CompanyCode}/imports/users

Keep in mind this just scans the company directory for users that don’t match anything in the database and imports them into the database. If you have users already mailbox enabled you can choose the plan on the import page but it DOES NOT modify the address book policy and custom attributes to match the company. You have to do that manually

If I have existing users on Exchange Online Archiving and choose to import, but don’t have archiving enabled on the users plan, will it remove the archiving from their account?

The import doesn’t modify anything! It just imports the user data into the SQL database

I have been able to successfully import several AD users that we have migrated from another Exchange server using your import page. One thing I have noticed is that now when I login to CloudPanel to look at those users, it shows that the date Created is: Invalid Date. I didn’t see where I could change that. I’m guessing somewhere in the database. Is it possible to edit this? It probably isn’t causing any issues but my OCD wants me to make it correct. Thanks!

LOL. It is in the database under the Users table for WhenCreated.
However.. I would just wait till the next release because the Scheduler is going to work at keeping the database updated every X minutes for all disabled users, enabled users, locked out users, and certain attributes that are missing.

Working on getting some stuff to auto update for you when it is changed on the backend.
