Hi

I have just re-installed Cloud Panel 3.1.0.9, I have resotored my SQL Database – Looks good

when going to admin/settings

I fill in all required into and it all looks good and accepts it. However, when either trying to log in or click the “Update Database” I get the below message:? (Firewall is off)

<span style=”font: 300 16px/normal ‘Open Sans’, ‘Helvetica Neue’, Helvetica, Arial, sans-serif; text-align: center; color: #797979; text-transform: none; text-indent: 0px; letter-spacing: normal; word-spacing: 0px; float: none; display: inline !important; white-space: normal; widows: 1; font-size-adjust: none; font-stretch: normal; background-color: #ffffff; -webkit-text-stroke-width: 0px;”>A network-related or instance-specific error occurred while establishing a connection to SQL Server. The server was not found or was not accessible. Verify that the instance name is correct and that SQL Server is configured to allow remote connections. (provider: SQL Network Interfaces, error: 26 – Error Locating Server/Instance Specified)</span>

Please help me!

Can you check the line in the settings.xml and make sure your SQL Connection String looks proper? CloudPanel cannot connect to your SQL server for some reason. I would start there and make sure that looks proper and if you are using SQL Authentication (defaults to that) you need to make sure SQL authentication is enabled in your SQL server.

Hi Jacob

Yes, and thanks.? I did find that earlier on and it was set to some sort of application install default.? I changed the name that was?there to the SERVER/INSTANCE Name, set the sa password in the same config line and Boom – there it was all sorted.? I have to also stop/start the application pool and IIS Service before it worked.

Thanks so much and great product!!!

Glad you got it working! In the latest version I did fix it where you no longer have to replace the settings.xml so from here on out the installer should handle it correctly during upgrades

Hi Jacob,

Listen this may be a little off topic but I experience the below issue when trying to “Bulk Enable/Change” mailbox plans:

The best overloaded method match for ‘CloudPanel.Exchange.Exch2010.Set_MailboxPlan(string, CloudPanel.Base.Models.Database.Plans_ExchangeMailbox, int)’ has some invalid arguments<b></b><i></i><u></u>
