upgrade issues from 3.1.0400 to 3.1.1001
After upgrade, a reseller is not able to view users of a company related to the reseller.
When creating a Public Folder, got a 500 response.
Created a Public folder in the backend.
Not able to edit in any way or grant permissions.
Upgrading shouldn’t change that. Were you using CloudPanel without Resellers in the previous version? If so it may have been turned on and you need to turn Resellers off.
You can check by looking at your organization units and see if they are structured like this:
- Hosting
- Applications
- Reseller
- Company
- Company
- Company
Or if they are like this:
- Hosting
- Applications
- Company
- Company
- Company
We’re using resellers since first installation.
In the AD i see hosting / reseller / company.
Do you mean when you login as a reseller admin you can’t see users of a company? The permissions have changed a lot and are more granular. Take a look at the permission group you set them to in CloudPanel and see what all they have checked.
correct, the reseller admin does not see the users of a company created by reseller.
the persmissions where also gone, the default group allexchangepermissions had no selections….
I will need you to post of picture of your permissions. Also your reseller user please set the company admin permissions to NONE and then change it back to the permission group you created. It sounds like the reseller user doesn’t have the correct permissions to “View Users”
I already did and tried again to ‘reset’ permissions. did not work out.
still can’t see the users when logged in as reseller admin.
the reseller has 2 accounts. can only see his own user account. can’t see the other one….
The reason the reseller could not see users is because he had “Department Lockdown” feature enabled on the permission group. After removing that he could see the users.
