Hi,

When i try updating the database after an upgrade I get this:

Connecting to remote server ?failed with the following error message : The WinRM client sent a request to an HTTP server and got a response saying the requested HTTP URL was not available. This is usually returned by a HTTP server that does not support the WS-Management protocol. For more information, see the about_Remote_Troubleshooting Help topic.

Running Exchange 2013 CU11

Thanks for a great product!

Usually that error is when you upgrade Exchange and it resets the Basic Authentication flag on the /powershell virtual directory.

Clicking the upgrade database button won’t trigger a WinRM / Remote Powershell connection. Did you just upgrade Exchange ?

Yes. Just upgraded. Any tips on how to fix this?

If you just upgraded Exchange you need to go into ECP/EAC and find the Powershell Virtual Directory then enable Basic Authentication (checkbox in EAC)

Must be something else. Now I am getting this:

Connecting to remote server ?failed with the following error message : WinRM cannot complete the operation. Verify that the specified computer name is valid, that the computer is accessible over the network, and that a firewall exception for the WinRM service is enabled and allows access from this computer. By default, the WinRM firewall exception for public profiles limits access to remote computers within the same local subnet. For more information, see the about_Remote_Troubleshooting Help topic.

Can you email me your log files? Also can you make sure the application pool in IIS that CloudPanel is using is running under a domain user with rights to AD/Exchange and not ApplicationIdentity?

Logs emailed. No changes in application pool after upgrade. Still running as domain user with same rights. CU11 does some AD updates. Not sure if related. Thanks.

The powershell permissions had changed after the patch. Enabled Basic and was able to update database. Having issues being able to delete domains and users so I think that there may be some issues with CU11 and CloudPanel.

Thanks.

I believe we got this resolved right? For some reason the uPNSuffixes value was missing domains that were in cloudpanel (like they were manually removed).

Is this correct?
