The answer turned out to be:

The domain needed to be provided and the domain needed to exist in that company as an accepted domain. For the alias you enter user@aliasdomain.com and not just “user”.

Can you tell us the version you are currently running? You can view this on the settings page in newer versions or you will need to look in Programs and Features if you are on an older version.

Also can you reproduce the error and send the logs to support@knowmoreit.com?

Hi Jacob,

the version I’m running is Version: 3.1.1.0

Might need a bit help with the logs. How can I collect them for you?

Many thanks

In the CloudPanel folder is a folder called Logs. Just zip those up and send them after you reproduce the error.

Thanks. Got the logs zipped up. Where should I send them to?

What are you putting in for the Email Alias and the primary email address? It is failing to validate the email addresses for some reason. Are you putting in a domain that doesn’t belong to that company? (Not listed in the Domains section for the company?)

Hmm…strange. If I try it without specifying an email alias it works.
They only have 1 domain so no problems on that front.
Looks like I’m getting there. Thanks for your help Jacob

I think this was fixed in 3.1.1005 but it wasn’t a “Fix”… it was just a more descriptive message for you. I bet you are entering the alias without the domain? Such as you entering “jdixon” instead of entering “jdixon@knowmoreit.com”. You have to provide the domain in the aliases.
