Hello there,

i’ve got the following problem:

I tried to import a old customer in cloudpanel.

We have a multi-tenant environment. If i try to import with “cloudpanel/import/customer-ou”, i become an error 500.

The customer-OU is under our reseller-OU. If i use “cloudpanel/import/reseller-ou”, the error didn’t come, but i can’t import the customer-OU.

The AD-Path for the customer-OU is: OU=Customer-OU, OU=Reseller-OU,OU=Hosting,DC=xxx,DC=xxx,DC=xx

How could we import the OU in Cloudpanel?

Error in Logfile, if i use “cloudpanel/import/customer-ou”:

2022-05-27 10:55:16,350 [ERROR] CloudPanel.ActiveDirectory.ADOrganizationalUnits – Error getting company child OU’s in OU=Customer-OU,OU=Hosting,DC=xxx,DC=xxx,DC=xx: System.DirectoryServices.DirectoryServicesCOMException (0x80072030): Such an object does not exist on the server.

@rechenzentrumkraemer-it-de Sorry for the late reply, we had an issue with our site not sending emails. If you have a license you can always email support@knowmoreit.com which will go to our ticketing system.

The error you are receiving is stating that the organiztional unit doesn’t exist in Active Directory. You cannot import reseller’s into CloudPanel, so that will have to manually be added in the database. Once the reseller account is imported then you can browser to the/CloudPanel/import/[ResellerCode] page to view all the coampnies under that reseller: https://kb.knowmoreit.com/docs/migration/migrate-objects-to-cloudpanel/import-companies/

If you need assistance with importing the reseller, please email our support at support@knowmoreit.com and we will login and do it for you. Basically it will be entering the information on the cp_Companies table from Active Directory but leaving the ResellerCode to NULL / Nothing.

@rechenzentrumkraemer-it-de Did this ever get resolved? Since you have a license you can always communicate directly with us at support@knowmoreit.com

Hi Jacob,

there was no time pressure, so the response time was OK. But we’ll think about it in the future 🙂

The problem is solved. We imported the customer. All works fine.

Thank you for your help!
