Hi team,

I’ve successfully migrated users from one company over to their CloudPanel, but I am now unable to enable the Exchange feature for their two domains.

I have tried various FQDNS and IP addresses (both local as CloudPanel resides in the company LAN, and public), but have no idea how to enable feature for the domains still. Also, when I open up the company and attempt to enable Exchange, I get a very generic error code:

“Connecting to remote server <mail server address> failed with the following error message : For more information, see the about_Remote_Troubleshooting Help topic.”

Hope someone may assist. Many thanks!

Regards,

Jared

@jjb1989 Remote powershell is rejecting your connection. Please make sure you enable basic auth on the powershell virtual directory and the user you configured for CloudPanel in the settings AND in IIS application pool have access to Exchange: https://kb.knowmoreit.com/docs/install-cloudpanel/prepare-microsoft-exchange/enable-basic-authentication-on-powershell-virtual-directory/

The installer would of created a application pool and associated it with the virtual directory that it creates in IIS but please verify it.

Jacob, thank you so much for this.

I could confirm that all was setup ok, and you helped me pinpoint the exact issue. To my embarassment, it was a typo on the domain name. Thank you for your help and apologies.
