@netechcomp I am seeing a lot of connection failures to the database: “Error: System.Data.SqlClient.SqlException (0x80131904): A network-related or instance-specific error occurred while establishing a connection to SQL Server. The server was not found or was not accessible. Verify that the instance name is correct and that SQL Server is configured to allow remote connections. (provider: SQL Network Interfaces, error: 26 – Error Locating Server/Instance Specified)”.
It looks like it is making a connection because it sees the migrations needed but when it tries to update the database it gets this message about a failure. Can you check the resources on the server? Stop the IIS application pool for CloudPanel and setup a constant ping to the SQL server and then start the application pool. I’m curious if you have a jump in latency (in the log file is the name of server\sqlexpress, is this the same CloudPanel server or a remote SQL server?)
@netechcomp Also if you are available now I can connect to the server and look.
@netechcomp Are you available where I can connect right now? I know we have a pretty good time difference.
I just finished uninstalling, roll back the cloudpanel copy and reinstalled and is now working.
Thx
I notice that after using the 3.2.0340 installer after rolling back the CluodPanel folder the admin panel still states the version is .2.335.0
@netechcomp Can I connect with you to get this working? My email is jdixon@knowmoreit.com if you rather email me directly
Can you please gather the Logs folder and send them to me? The CloudPanel.log file should tell us what is wrong

@jdixon Hi, I we`re facing similar issue with update to latest version from previous.
1st step – running installation
installer warns about backup of db and folder
then it finds the current setup and asks either to uninstall it or install new version next to it.
uninstalling and installing within one setup window results in error 404 of CP webpage.
tried to restart and run repair after – resulted in 404 error.
2nd step – uninstall and install with existing SQL DB
resulted in same error as with @netechcomp:
Server Error in ‘/CloudPanel’ Application.
Unable to update database to match the current model because there are pending changes and automatic migration is disabled. Either write the pending model changes to a code-based migration or enable automatic migration. Set DbMigrationsConfiguration.AutomaticMigrationsEnabled to true to enable automatic migration.
Do you see any helpful even in the logs folder? The repair, then uninstall and reinstall may make this a little more difficult to troubleshoot. Can you right click on the CloudPanel.dll file and tell me what the version says in the details tab?
If you can, revert back and schedule time with me to do the upgrade for you so I can see what is going on.
@jdixon Hi, it would be great to schedule 24th of September. We`re ahead of US (UTC+3) and should not face any issues with production site maintenance. If you`re ok with date we can start any time after 24:00 (UTC+3).
Upgrading CloudPanel does not cause any disruptions in Microsoft Exchange because they are separate of each other. Do you happen to have the log files from when you attempted the upgrade that you could send over?
@jdixon unfortunately no, we’ve made snapshot of that VM with CloudPanel Installed and rolled back after failure. CloudPanel is working in production for management(creation, change, password reset etc.) of user accounts on daily basis.
