New install and going through the initial settings. Once I make all my settings and click ‘Submit’ I get the following in a pop-up window:

Error! Access to the path ‘C:Program Files (x86)Know More ITCloudPanelConfigsettings.xml’ is denied

Any thoughts on what could be the problem?

This is on a Windows Server 2012 R2 system

What account is it trying to use to write to that file?

So, I temporarily got around this by giving everyone modify rights on the settings.xml file, but I’d still like to know the permanent fix since I don’t want to leave that ACL in place.

It sounds like the application pool you are running CloudPanel under (in IIS) is not set to a domain user with rights. Please make sure the application pool CloudPanel is using is a domain administrator (should match what you have in the settings page of CloudPanel).

Thanks – It’s all working well now. The settings in IIS and Exchange were right. What appears to have done it is a reboot of the server running CloudPanel after the install (which I had apparently neglected to do).

Thanks!
