I hit a snag on the install and deleted everthing and re-installed. When I hit the initial settings page now, it comes up with a logon screen instead of the setting screen. Any ideas?

Sorry for the delay

This can be a problem if you are using host headers. It needs to see you coming from localhost, loop back address or IPv6 localhost ::1.

Are you using host headers?

Thank you for the reply.

I am not using host headers. I am going to http://localhost/cloudpanel/admin/settings/. It spins for a few seconds then pops up the logon box instead of the settings page. I have removed cloudpanel and the database and manually removed the directory in the program files directory (which uninstall does not remove) and re-installed from scratch with reboots in between and same issue. I am spinning up another VM to test on at the moment.

Just let me know and I can do a screen sharing with you. Something isn’t right… also there is log files in the Logs directory you can look at.

Are you install it in a website and then it creates the virtual directory? As in the website it is in and the virtual directory CloudPanel within it are poitned to the same folder?

Thanks for the reply.

Creating a new WebServer and installing Cloudpanel from scratch worked. Everything appears to be functioning correctly. I have created a reseller and a company and now just have to figure out how to get the domain to work in exchange since when I pick the domain that is created when I activate exchange, it won’t let me set it to authorative, it keeps saying it already exists.

Just delete the accepted domain from Exchange and enable it with cloudpanel. CloudPanel will create the authoritative domain for you. The problem sounds like you created it manually and its not in sync with the CloudPAnel database

Thanks for the reply, however, everything has been created in CloudPanel. I got around it by finding a post on the forums that showed what field had to be modified in the sql table itself to set the domain name to authorative. It’s working now. Got all the companies set up and now working on importing the users. Hit some more issues with errors on importing and searching forums now. I am getting a “username is a required field” error, however, there are no fields on the exported CSV called username and the rest are filled in. I’ll keep digging. I could do them manually for this company but want to figure out how to get the import working so I don’t have to manually create the bigger companies.

I’m confused… the export CSV just exports what you currently have in the database. That is different from the export. The import has a drop down so you can see all the applicable fields that are required and what it is for.
